What are the benefits of volunteering?
Recent research by the Mental Health Foundation has shown that volunteering can improve your mental health. People who contribute work freely and know they are valued for it experience positive feelings of self-worth. In addition, by stretching themselves and learning new skills they gain confidence and develop a more optimistic outlook.
