USER LED GROUPS

There are three User-Led Groups at Beside. They are run by members who have taken our course in Group Facilitation and Leadership Skills. The groups are members of the Tower Hamlets Service User Network (SUN).

User-led group members encourage each other to keep attending during periods of mental or emotional distress, since at such times people tend to withdraw socially. This way members support each other by combating the emotional and social isolation that can lead to relapse into mental illness.

B&J's Trips - Saturday day trips once a month, tea dances, shows

P.A.C.C. The Performing Arts & Cinema Club – theatre trips, museums, films once a fortnight

Health and Fitness Support Club – Fixed times each week – offering mutual support at the gym; a women’s swimming group; and a programme of exciting events to keep active.
